It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peacefully passing of Mrs. MARIA ESTRELA DO COUTO LEITE at the age of 100 years, beloved wife of the late José Medeiros.

She will be sadly missed by her children Antonio Medeiros (Ernestina Do Couto) and Mariazinha Medeiros Leite (late Gil Fernando Leite), her granddaughters Diane Medeiros, Stacey Medeiros, Sandy Leite (Fabrizio Sciola) and Stephanie Leite (Roberto Puglisi), her great granddaughters Ivana Sciola, Gia Sciola, Olivia Puglisi and Mila Puglisi, her sister Lurdes de Melo, as well as her numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will take place at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 6825 Sherbrooke St. East, Montreal, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., as well as Wednesday morning as of 9:00 a.m..

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 60 Rachel St. West, Montreal. Burial to follow at Le Repos St-François d'Assise Cemetery.
