"I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die" With hope in the glorious resurrection, and having fulfilled his religious duties, we mourn the passing of the late Georges Bahjat El Bizri, who passed away on March 1, 2025, beloved husband of Suha Afif Matar, loving son of the late Evelyn Elias Wardini. He will be sadly missed by his wife Suha, his son Nicholas, his daughters Lynn (wife of Michel El-Khabbaz) and their family, Tanya (wife of Mazen El-Yachoui) and Maria, his brother Elie (husband of Rola Souaibi) and their family, his sisters Nicole (wife of Antoine Salem) and their family, Gaby (wife of Tamer Abdel Sater) and their family and the late Clotilde (wife of Mounir Skaf) and their family, his brothers-in-law Melhem Afif Matar (husband of Lara Chahwan) and their family, Mikhael Afif Matar (husband of Nancy Metri) and their family, his daughters-in-law Maha (wife of Vincent El-Boustani) and their family, Melanie (wife of Fares Moubarak) and their family and Sana (wife of George Abou Fadel) and their family. With deep sorrow, the Bizri, Matar, Wardini, Kherej, Khabbaz, Yachoui, Souaibi, Salem, Abdel Sater, Skaf, Chahwan, Mitri, Boustani, Moubarak, and Abou Fadel families, along with their relatives in Ashrafieh, Deir Qoubel, and abroad, announce the passing of their beloved. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Saint Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church, 120 Blvd. Gouin East (corner Grande Allée ), Montreal, followed by the burial at Laval Cemetery, 5505 rang du Bas St-François. The family will receive condoleances at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 222 Blvd. Des Laurentides, Laval, on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and after the burial at Saint Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church, Montreal.
